TOULOUSE INP - ENSIACET
INSA TOULOUSE
With 14,000 alumni working in all economic sectors, the "Institut National des Sciences Appliquées" of Toulouse is an international and multidisciplinary state engineering school recognized for the excellence of its five-year education, which attracts students of a high academic level. INSA-Toulouse offersa wide range of engineering specializations, including computer science, civil engineering, mathematical engineering and biochemical engineering. Its courses, designed with the latest scientific advancements in mind, are supported through the activity of leading-edge research laboratories, backed by some of the largest industrial groups.
The Master of Science Fluids Engineering for Industrial Processes is focused on industrial activities in the field of chemical and process engineering. Applications are especially related to fluid flows in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering and energy transformation, fields in which Fluids Engineering plays a major role. At the heart of the teaching offer, courses are mainly oriented toward physical analysis and modelling of transport phenomena in multiphasic flows. These scientific areas are quite specific to Toulouse and are carried out by three research laboratories (IMFT, LGC and LISBP) and the FERMAT Research Federation.
This Master of Science is jointly offered by Toulouse INP-ENSEEIHT, Toulouse INP-ENSIACET and INSA Toulouse. Approx. 10 students coming from countries such as China, India, South America and Africa graduate every year. This Master is designed for high-level Bachelor graduate students coming from the best foreign universities. An intensive training in French can be provided in partnership with the n+i network during summer, before the students start the new academic year.
The objective of the education program is to train the students to become experts in multiphysics modelling. Multiphase flows are of major importance for modelling the behavior of industrial processes.
4 semesters
mid-September
Students are enrolled at the Process Engineering and Environment department at INSA Toulouse during the first semester and receive an integration package, which helps the students to get used to our academic system and their new environment quickly. The following two semesters are done at ENSIACET (semester 2) and ENSEEIHT (semester 3).
To conclude the end of their studies, students must do an internship during their 4th semester. Contacts with the industrial world (petroleum, chemical and nuclear engineering) and professional emphasis during classes are maintained throughout these 24 months of training since students have the opportunity to work on study projects related to our industrial company partners.
- Fluids Mechanics and CFD
- Multiphase Flows and Reactions
- Industrial Project
The complete syllabus can be found here.
Lots of internship opportunities are offered in big industrial companies (in manufacturing, Research and Development, etc.):
The annual tuition fees are 9000€.
Average monthly living costs for a student in Toulouse is between 700 and 900€. The amount depends a lot on the accommodation you will choose.
Detailed information about living expenses can be found in the Student Guide.
Acceptance to scholarships from INP-INSA can reduce the tuition fees down to 5230€ or 5473€ per year, depending on student's status.
Scholarship through a reduction of the fees can be offered to students coming from partner universities.
Exceptionally the same kind of scholarship can be given to top level students.
All the students enrolled with us will be given the Toul'Box full pack with a private pick-up at the airport.

If you have an international degree:
To enter the 1st year of the MSc program, you will require a Bachelor of Sciences/Engineering
Please note that it is also possible to integrate directly the 2nd year of the program. To do so, you will need to have obtained a Master of Sciences/Engineering and have work experience.
If you have a French degree :
- To be admitted in M1 the required level is L3
- For the admission in M2 the required level is M1
15th April
For FREE ! All the students enrolled with this Master of Science will be given the Toul'Box "All In" pack with a private pick-up at the airport or train station in Toulouse (working days and working hours).
There are several possibilities of accommodation at INSA:
Students studying at INP-ENSEEIHT can apply for a CROUS student residence. Unfortunately, it cannot always ensure accommodation for all international students. However, several other accommodation options are available.
Students studying at INP-ENSIACET can apply for a CROUS student residence: cité universitaire de Rangueil (Tripodes) or résidence Daniel Faucher. Unfortunately, it cannot always ensure accommodation for all international students. However, several other accommodation options are available.

If you a European national, you do not have any work restrictions in France.
If you are not a EU citizen, normally you will have a long-term student visa (VLS-TS) which allows international students to work for 960 hours over a one-year period (on average, 20 hours per week). Internships are not included in this limit.
Part-time student jobs are available in Toulouse, from bar work to babysitting, for students who speak at least a minimum of French. Announcements are put up on campus announcements boards, and it is recommended that students distribute their CVs in person to local bars and restaurants.
Life at INSA and INP is very rich thanks to the many clubs and associations which allow students to take part in variety of humanitarian, sports, economic or cultural activities.

The graduates of this program can apply for a residence permit "recherche d'emploi / création d'entreprise" ("job search / business creation") for graduate students. This residence permit allows students to remain in France for up to one year to look for employment.
At the end of your studies, if you have obtained your diploma, you can apply for a residence permit "recherche d'emploi / création d'entreprise" (except Algerian students). This residence permit replaces the temporary residence permit that was previously issued to graduate students ("APS Master").
This residence permit can also be requested from abroad: if you leave France at the end of your studies, you can apply for the residence permit "recherche d'emploi / création d'entreprise" at the French consulate in your home country or your country of residence within 4 years after graduation.
